Probably my favorite type of photography is random shots of normal, every day life. Some of my best shots have been where the subject has not been posed--it's natural, not fake, it's genuine, not fabricated.

I love shots that will evoke an emotion that makes the saying "it's worth a thousand words" ring true.

Finally, I love photography because it reminds me of people I've known and loved, place I've been (and will never return) and just how "lucky" we are to be able to preserve those memories with a simple paper picture!

Oh my! It was such a hot and muggy day when we met at Glencairn Gardens! But, take a look see! A beautiful family that has experienced God's Blessings! Aren't the children adorable? Jeff and Carrie had not had their pictures taken since their daughter was born, so we snapped a few of just the two of them.

A College Student and A Kindergarten Student!

I can hardly believe it myself! I'm now mom to a College Student and a Kindergarten Student!

My son will start at the University of Cincinnati in a few weeks. His major is Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Forensics.

My daughter started Kindergarten 2 weeks ago via A Beka Homeschool Academy.

Where does the time go?

Just wanted to show them off. My kids see me with my camera all the time..and usually it's "mom, not again"! But, I love them and want to show them off to you! I've truly experienced God's Blessings!

Meet Stephanie a 2010 senior!

A quick visit to SC turned into a fun time at the park taking Stephanie's senior pictures! It was hot and muggy, but it was also perfect conditions for photographing outside! I've known Stephanie for quite a while and was happy to take her pics! Isn't she just beautiful???!!!!

May God's richest blessings be upon you Stephanie as you graduate from high school and then go to Crown College in Powell, TN in the fall!

Meet my son--Timothy--a SENIOR!

It's so hard for me to get past the fact that my son will be graduating from high school in just about a month from now. He's been homeschooled for 8 years utilizing the Abeka DVD program. He's a smart kid, sold out to God and is willing to do whatever God has for him. What more could a mom want? :D

You may or may not know that Tim LOVES his trumpet. God has gifted him with not only being able to play the trumpet but also to sing.
I though this picture turned out good--so we posted it as well.

Rachel's a SENIOR!!

Meet Rachel! I have the honor of being her Aunt! She's a missionary kid and certainly misses her second home of Osasco, Brazil! Rachel has been homeschooled via the ABeka Academy DVD program and is getting ready to graduate!

Graduation is May 15, 2010~on the campus of Pensacola Christian College.

Hope you enjoyed meeting my niece! She's a wonderful young lady and I know that God has super big plans for her!

I so appreciate referrals! I met this family through another customer--and I'm so glad to have been able to meet the Werts family!

I really like the way this collage turned out!

I really enjoy doing "extra's" on my pictures. In this instance color popping certain areas of the picture really brings out the red in the hat and the blue in their eyes!

Mom and Dad even posed for a few! Thanks for the session guys! I really enjoyed it!

According to mom....he is famous for cutting his eyes at people! I just think it's cute!

Such is the case with my sister Bethany and her former college roommate, Bree! I hadn't seen Bree since Bethany's wedding--so it was great to see her again. We threw an impromptu session together and just look at what we got!

Still goofy as ever!

This turned out beautifully! I did selective coloring with this picture. Look at how the black and white makes her blue eyes stand out. Awesome.

The Stockman's have been God's humble servants in Africa for over 20 years! We (Southside Baptist Church-Rock Hill, SC) were privileged to have them home for a few weeks. I had the honor of photographing them so that they could update their prayer cards and literature. This is the first picture that I took and I think it is the best! Amber Graduates from College!!

What a wonderful, godly young lady Amber has become! She will be graduating from Ambassador Baptist College tomorrow evening with a Major in Elementary Education!
She is a joy to be around and through trials in life has become a wonderful example of not having to know all the "why's" but knowing that her Heavenly Father loves her and wants only the best! Congratulations Amber! Love ya girl!

Can you tell that they love each other?? This young family are part of the church we attend here in Rock Hill, SC. I taught *R piano lessons years ago--it's hard for me to believe that she's already graduated college, is married and has another baby on the way! I had a great time photographing them!

Just so you know---I had so much fun at this shoot! The day was cloudy and we were sprinkled with rain at one point, but in just a few short minutes, the sun was out and we got some great shots! I had the fun "job" of photographing this wonderful missionary family during our missions conference last week! For having only a short period of time (in between services), I think they turned out pretty good.

Missionary Baby K

On LOAN?? What does that mean? Any gift given to us from God is simply a loan for us to manage. Baby *K's (missionary to Guam) mommy and daddy realize this and are striving to bring her (and her brothers) up in the Nurture and Admonition of the Lord! I was honored to take her first month pictures while they were at our church for Missions Conference!

There's nothing like black and white with a splash of color here or there! It's my favorite enhancement (especially for babies)!

Just gotta love baby feet! So soft and smooth.

C & T Engagement Session

We started off the day with a good bit of wind. But the sun was so warm (when it was out!) This couple was so much fun to photograph! They had me laughing so hard sometimes it was hard to hold my camera still! They were so willing and happy to try any pose that I suggested.

We loved the hay bales!

Isn't the heart shadow unique? I found an example of it online and decided to try it with them. I love how it turned out!

Look at his beggar face!

This was not a posed shot--I was tinkering around with my camera and they had no idea that I was photographing them. Sometimes these are the very best shots!

This is sweet! And the sky was perfect! Although it was about 11AM, the setting makes it look like it's almost sunset.

Playing peek-a-boo!

Another un-posed shot. I love the looks on their faces.

This picture is one of about 6 in a series. I had to keep taking them because every time he would pucker up...she would start laughing and it would make him laugh.

What a blessing it was for me to photograph them! Sweet, young love....they get married in June and I'm sure they feel it is a lifetime away--but it will be here soon. Hope you enjoyed viewing the pictures!

What a pleasure (not to mention a surprise!) to wake up to several inches of snow on the ground! I even ventured out to watch my boys play football in the snow and my daughter make snow angels!

A Princess!

God is so good to give us the desires of our heart! In this case my 3 (almost 4) year old adopted daughter was my model for these shots! She loves to dress like a princess and so I took advantage of the situation and snapped some quick pictures! In case you haven't figured it out--I LOVE black and white photography---add a little color back into the picture and you have something really special!
